Library Committee
Origin of the Library Committee
The Library Committee was established on 13 April 1999, bringing to fruition a plan devised in 1997 "to make the acquisition process more efficient."
Aim and purpose of the Library Committee
The aim of the Library Committee is to involve all sub-departments in important decisions that concern the library. The sub-department representatives are responsible for the media stock in their subject. They pass on the information from the Library Committee to their sub-department.
The Library Committee meets once a semester and decides on the acquisition of serials, periodicals and the more expensive monographs. The Library Director reports on her activities and informs about acquisition statistics and the library budget.
